Children, Youth, and Families
As the saying goes...
...children are the future of the church.
But at East End we feel that children are the church, in the here-and-now, just like everybody else. So bring ‘em along!
Children are noisy and active! That’s part of being a child!! So, if your child fusses or is chatty or is wandering hither and yon, don’t sweat it. We remember that Jesus bid the children to come to him, so we try our best to do the same.
At East End United, we are committed to nurturing faith through curiosity, creativity, and community for children, youth, and families.
Church School, Youth Group, and Family Ministries at East End United are coordinated by our Youth Animator, who supports children, youth, and families in growing their faith together; at church, at home, and in the wider community.
The Wiggle Ministry (Ages 5 and Under)
A space to wiggle, wonder, and belong.
The Wiggle Ministry is a welcoming, safe, and engaging space for our youngest kiddos who aren’t quite ready for Sunday School. During worship, little ones can explore age-appropriate activities, play, create, and participate in ways that work for them—because we know that sitting still isn’t always easy!
We have a dedicated activity table set up in the sanctuary with a variety of activities for our littlest worshippers. Families are invited to use the space throughout the service, giving children a chance to engage while remaining part of our wider worship community.
There’s no expectation to sit still, be quiet, or participate perfectly. Come as you are, wiggles and all!
The Wonder Club (Ages 5-12)
A place to wonder, explore, and grow in faith.
The Wonder Club is a welcoming space where kids are encouraged to explore what faith means to them. Together, we’ll ask big questions, share our thoughts, discover stories, and wonder about what it means to have faith and be a person of faith.
There are no “right” or “wrong” questions here—just opportunities to be curious, learn from one another, and discover where we see kindness, love, hope, wonder, and God in the world around us.
Come curious. Come wondering. Come as you are.
Youth Group (Ages 13-18)
A space to connect, belong, and explore faith together.
Youth Group is a space to build friendships, ask questions, explore faith, and connect with the wider community. Together, we’ll make room for conversations about belonging, faith, justice, storytelling, friendship, and community connection, while having fun along the way.
Whether you’ve been part of the church for years or are joining us for the first time, there’s a place for you here.
