During Sunday worship, children are invited to participate in Church School, where their faith is nourished and strengthened using age-appropriate stories, activities, and discussion led by a trained teacher. Children are invited to leave partway through the service (so they don’t have to sit through the sermon!), but families are always welcome to have their children remain in worship if that feels right for them. Church School is open to children from JK to Grade 6, and all are welcome.

Our Youth Group for Grade 7+ meets Thursdays from 4:30–6:30pm at Glen Rhodes. This is a relaxed, inclusive space where youth can build friendships, explore questions of faith and justice, share food, and have fun together. Programming is shaped around the interests and experiences of the youth themselves, with an emphasis on belonging, storytelling, and community connection.

Collective 2026 |
|
This past Sunday, each member of the congregation was given a piece of paper and a pen. During All-Ages Time, they were invited to reflect on what John the Baptist might have said about them had they approached him as Jesus once did. The Sunday School later collected the reflections and thoughtfully reviewed them, selecting twelve to feature. These were rewritten onto papers adorned with a lamb illustration, then decorated and mounted onto a poster board. Each lamb is unique; vibrant, creative, and a beautiful expression of individual faith.

We’re gauging interest in Collective 2026, a national gathering for youth, young adults, and their leaders focused on faith, community, and impact. The event takes place August 12-15, 2026, at Brock University. We’re hoping to fundraise to cover at least half the cost for participants and to coordinate transportation.
